They should preferably be applied to the frame support (cardboard, masonite, etc.) rather than to the frame itself.
The diameter of the hole is too large for the tacks. They must therefore be applied to the support with a rivet or with a screw (not with a nail). Code 11R rivets can be used.
These hangers (D-Rings in English) are frequently used abroad to hang the frame with a string. In this case, two hangers are fixed on the two vertical sides of the frame and then tied with a cord.
