Brass ferrules, approximately 10 mm long.
Used to block the steel wire when the frame is hung with this system (more information can be found in the steel wire technical sheet).
To tighten the nuts you can use a normal pliers or a more professional and rational pliers manufactured specifically for this use (code CRP9) and which also serves to cut the steel wire.
The system of hanging frames with a steel wire fixed on the two vertical sides of the frame is widely used in America and Great Britain.
With this system you don't see any hangers (which can sometimes be unsightly). However, the disadvantage remains that the frame remains detached from the wall by a few millimetres. The frame remains slightly inclined, but this effect is sometimes deliberately sought.
