They are made of wood ayous.
The gilding is made with imitation gold leaf. On the gold leaf it is applied a fixative. varnish.
The round frames of 60 cm diameter are composed of 6 pieces glued together to obtain a greater flatness and for reducing the risk of breakage.
The round frames of 40 and 50 cm diameter are composed of four parts.
The round frames of lower size are composed of a single piece.
The measures listed in the catalogue are internal measures of the frame.
In fact the actual measurement is increased by about 2 mm respect to the measure declared. For example: the round frame of 10 cm in effect is 10,2 cm. It is possible then to insert a glass and a back of exactly 10 cm.
All round frames are packed in a plastic bag for protection from scratches. The plastic bag is included in a cardboard box.
